Hello, and welcome.

Petal & Moss began with a simple belief — that the things we give children to play with really matter. Not just whether they're safe, but whether they're beautiful, thoughtfully made, and a pleasure to have in our homes.

I've spent much of my career working in design, branding and marketing, so I naturally notice the details. The weight of a toy in your hand. The finish of the wood. The colours, textures and thoughtful touches that make something feel special.

But it was becoming a mother that made those details feel even more important.

During pregnancy, I found myself reading every label, paying closer attention to the products I brought into my home, and thinking more carefully about what surrounded my family. That instinct never really left. It simply became something bigger.

As my daughter grew, I found myself drawn to toys and children's pieces that felt beautiful, thoughtfully designed and full of character. Pieces that would be played with, treasured and enjoyed for years to come.

So I created a shop filled with the kinds of products I would genuinely choose for my own family.

Petal & Moss is a carefully curated collection of toys, gifts and children's pieces, chosen for their thoughtful design, craftsmanship and timeless appeal.

How We Choose

We believe childhood should be filled with imagination, creativity and play.

That's why you'll find a strong focus on natural materials, sustainable makers and products designed to inspire open-ended play. Much of our collection is crafted from wood, cotton and other thoughtfully chosen materials that bring warmth, texture and character to everyday play.

Why Petal & Moss?

The name Petal & Moss was inspired by two things very close to my heart.

My daughter and I have always shared a love of flowers, gardens and nature, and she's rarely without a doll named Petal tucked under her arm. Combined with my love of natural textures, earthy colours and the beauty of the changing seasons, Petal & Moss felt like the perfect reflection of the world I wanted to create.

A place inspired by childhood wonder, thoughtful design and a connection to nature.

A Little About Me

I'm Nicola, the founder, designer and creative director behind Petal & Moss.

I live in Gloucestershire with my daughter, my fiancé, and a cat who contributes very little to the business.

Petal & Moss brings together everything I love — thoughtful design, natural materials, beautiful craftsmanship and the simple joys of childhood.
